Hey guys first off my name is Josh and I'm from Hamilton Ont, Canada. I own a mint condition 92 T-Bird with 55,000 original kms on it. I know it was a great find, so naturally I'd like to keep it in mint shape. My first real problem with this car is my driver side power window motor. I'd just like to know if this motor is the same on any other Fords/Mercurys of the same year or years?? Any help would be appreciated, otherwise I'll just go to the scrapyard to pick one up. Also my rear accent light (right side) is out. I know it's a diode or whatever, but do any of you guys have a quick mod soloution, or do I have to pony up the dough for a new piece?? Once again guys thanks a lot.

to your first question, mercury and ford are the same. i used an 89 mercury window motor in my 86 tbird, although i had to use the passanger side motor for the drivers side in my car. is the motor completely burned out, or does it sound like its trying to work?? if it sounds like its trying to work, the motors not bad. there are three little plastic pieces that disintigrate inside. instead of buying a motor, you can find a kit, though you cant get it from ford. you have to find it aftermarket. or the other option is to make them. i used some metal pieces from an airplane. my motor works better then brand new, and they will never disintigrate. to your second question, are you sure its not just a burnt out bulb?? you just twist the plastic piece in the back of the light(in your trunk) an you can get a replacement bulb practically anywhere for a couple of dollars. otherwise i dont know what to tell you. hope this helps

I had a problem with one of the wires coming off from the PW switch on the door. Mine just needed to be soldered. If it is NOT making any noise when you try using it, then check fuses and then the switch panel.
