Borla intercooled tips that came with my Borla cat-back. You can buy just the tips on eBay and on other sites that sell cat-back systems for F-Body's.

Yeah, but I haven't even driven the car for over 4 weeks now.
Gonna start tearing it apart Sunday. Getting her ready for the swap.

Are you asking what is the advantage of a cat-back exhaust? If so, then it just helps the exhaust flow smoother since your replacing the stock exhaust that normally has alot of bends. Thus, it helps your engine breathe better.
Do you have just the flowmaster muffler and tips? If so, then I recommend that you also replace the piping before it as well, from the end of your catylic converter to the intake of your muffler. Hence the name "cat-back," from your catylic converter and back.
Now are you asking how having a full cat-back system would sound on a V6? Or are you asking how would it sound having the Borla tips? If it's the first one, then it should sound fine since you have Flowmaster. Though, I do hear some complaints that it has a high pitched noise at higher rpms. If it's the second one, then I believe the tips shouldn't affect the noise at all, but if so.. it wouldn't be a noticable amount of difference. Try to be a little bit clearer on your questions so I and others can answer them more accurately.

Wow, 4 weeks.. man, that's gotta be torture. Would be for me at least. Good luck with the swap, try to take some of pics if you can. Wouldn't mind seeing how it goes along for ya.

I am good with it. I know that I am not driving it for a good reason. Makes it a little easier.
I will have pics. I promise. I am hoping to have a video clip of the new motor idling in 2 1/2 months or so. :icon16:
