68 Stang won't start

I recently bought a 68 coupe. It has a modified 289, holley 650 cfm double pumper, headman headers, new ignition and distributor, dual exhaust. It ran awesome for two days after i bought it, then started having problems. The car drove for about 10-15 minutes, then it would just stop. I'd crank it, but wouldn't get anything. She wouldn't even try to turn over. The car was almost out of gas when I picked her up, so I thought maybe a fuel line clog. I blew a clog out fo the fuel line. That didn't help. I've cleaned the crap out of the carb, changed the spark plugs (the looked flooded), the spark plug wires, and replaced the fuel pump and in-line fuel filter. In the middle of repairs, I had her running for about an hour at idle, then at 10-25 mph. I turned her off and tried to start her about 30 minutes later, and she wouldn't start. I changed the pump and filter. The result: The car cranks and fires, but won't idle. I'm completely at a loss. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have a 67 coupe and we had a similar problem, still hasen't been fixed but i figure insight won't hurt. We blew the fuel line, changed the fuel pump, rebuilt the carbeurator and so far we've gotten it to idle in park and neutral but not in gear, it simply dies. One thing you can try is tweaking the gas pedal line to the carb, one ours we have 3 settings and maybe the engine isnt recieving as much gas as it needs. A less recommended idea (a very unsure guess) is the torque converter, in our case we pulled the engine and trans and the torque converter was due for replacement but unfortunately we havent gotten back from the shop yet, maybe you can give me more specifics on if you run it in park etc. A lot of the time it just helps to have a good gas tank cleaning, reclogging your lines maybe?
