Stuff from today is the album 'windshield replaced'

Hood and turn signals hopefully shipped out today (??)... SO CLOSE

Just need to straighten out some foglight wiring issues, get new horns (they shorted out), and pick up a new front bumper (honeycomb), and bolt up a few kick panels and such.

She is SO close to done...

Good to hear that you're fixing it, way too many Camaros are heading to the junkyard here lately. There's 2 in the small yard right down the road from me.

It's sad how many stockers are for sale, too.

We should organise the walk for Camaro life and mod movement!!

Well, maybe not. I don't know how it happend, anyone got a link to the thread?

Wow, damned airbags.

Luckily no passenger was with you. So the moral is, disconnect your airbags and drive with your hood unlatched!!

Just kidding, glad you're getting her back together.

Your attitude really pisses me off.

First off, it's my FIRST and ONLY car. I don't know what you come from but I for one, at 18 years old, male, red car, living in NJ, do NOT have the money to cover insurance for a v8. And no mommy and daddy wont pay it for me, and I dont have some shadetree insurance company that im paying 20 bucks a month or whatever you have. My insurance costs about 4-500 every 6 months... v8 would be about double that, if I recall correctly.

A lot of time? Yes, and I am damn proud of the work im doing myself, with only the help of my dad a little bit. AS for a lot of money? No. So far the total I have paid for all the stuff is $150 in parts and $265 (inc. tax) for the windshield, and that's all I have paid. There will be another... $25 for stuff im getting friday, and some money for pushpins and wiring stuff anf foglights im getting today, but that is it.. A lot of people have been helping me out bigtime, (big thanks here to philly rs, and a bunch of people from my local car club) something that I am really grateful for otherwise I wouldnt be 1/4 of where I am now.

To everyone else, thanks very much for the support and complitments

Way cool that you chose to do it yourself (with help maybe, but still yourself) And I'm glad that you found the time and money, however much it was. I can see some eason that v8 guys might look down on v6s, if that's what this is, it might not be. But i hear you on the insurrance buddy. the qoute I got for 6 months on a 94 z28, 1700 and change. Way to rich for my blood. In less than a year and a half at that rate i could pay for my whole car. Bull shit.

Hey man, I don't care if ya had a 4 banger in it. That's what makes it your car, you take care of it. I have more respect for you v6 camaro that you put your time in to vs. someone who had it done by someone else, weither it be changing your oil or rebuilding the whole damn car.

Good work, and keep it up.

I've noticed however, that is LT!MAN's gimmick to mock the world if it's not powered by a LT1, so maybe it was a mis understanding?

I hear you on that, I can't afford insurance on a V8 either. I would love to be able to, but I'm a 17 year old male so I'm not getting anything on from the guys at the insurance company.

I sure with I could find a shadetree insurance company.

Same here man. As it is, I'm getting a v8 and parking it on homeowners insurrance. Being 16 sucks.

To everyone else, thanks very much for the support and complitments

yo man, i didn't mean it like that, i apologize for offending you. i was looking at what appeared to be frame damage which would seriously deccrease the value of your vehicle and being that you pay alot for insurance and your car that it would be totalled and you would get another car but obviously it is not that way and i understand how strongly you feel about your car i was once paying for my first car and i know how you feel. sorry didn't mean to piss you off but dont come at me like that either. didn't mean to start a fight.

and my shadetree insurance is progressive.

and my lt1 doesn't leak anything.

and i have mad respect for ls1's

and lt1s do rock

and v6 camaros are cool too.

so chill out.

hahaha...im lovin the friendship and overall positiveness of this section of the forums...over in the cavalier section you cant ask anything without being ragged on or flamed for some stupid reason...like i asked how to get rid of a rev limiter on my car and they all pretty much called me a dumbass.
and dude...dont even worry about your car being a 6cyl...you want to do major work on that sucker later on just slap a twin turbo setup on it and no LT1 will stand a chance...well unless they have that too lol...oh and hey dude..this isnt bad talking your car...but you should look into buying some smoke headlight covers...the year you have , the headlights look kinda retarded with the 2 square system...just a thought tho

Mod'd_Cav

oh and LT1...if you didnt mean to piss him off cuz you saw that his car had frame damage...why would you say "looks like a lot of time and money to spend on a ~~"v6"~~ camaro"...wouldnt it have been said "looks like a lot of time and money to spend on a car with that kinda frame damage" ?

also just a thought

What frame damage did you see??? There's damage to the frame rail EXTENSIONS, which are welded on to the frame rails to hold the bumper, and I fixed that; and theres damage to the radiator support...

Z's cost a little more

i just went through fixing my brothers car (98 Z) from where he fucked up the whole front right side of it (hood, 1/4, front, headlight, brackets, frame, blah blah blah. im sayin it seems like a lot of work (to me because i just did all of the same shit) to be done to a 6 cyl camaro, that has a good bit of miles on it (correct me if im wrong i think i remember 97 saying he had more miles than i did) it doesn't seem worth it to me, bash me and talk junk about me if you want

Stock regular headlights...

Today I got tired of the waiting, put on the nose, and did about 60 miles of driving around the surrounding towns

Felt goooood

New corner markers are coming in tomorrow (mine are cracked) and the hood got delayed and is coming in Monday.

I just need to replace horns, and drill out the rivets on my old bumper and rivet it onto my new impact bar.

Also some wierd wiring problem, cant get the lights on my HVAC to come on
