heat problem???

i got a 96 cavalier 2.2 with 93,000 miles. anyway today i drove for about 1hr i parked it and after 2hr i went back and it was still pretty hot. those this mean i need a new termosat i know its not normally beacsue my dads 98 2.2 cools down pretty fast. also it gets hot fast doesn't over heat just gets to hot to fast. does this mean anything

It means you need to buy a box-fan.
