I was looking at Skunk 2 stage 2 cams or Buddy Club 3 cams on my 99 B18C1 GSR. I am planning on eventually turboing my GSR and i am buying mods accordingly.
I was wondering why i can't use a normal VTEC performance cam, and instead i have to buy a specific turbo cam. What would be the difference between the two???
Thanks

the turbo cam probably has less overlap between the intake and exhaust valves.

i suggest you install the cams and turbo at the same time, doing one without the other may hurt preformance(IE - using turbo cams with no overlap on a N/A engine will decrease low end torque.)

No i wanted to buy like a Buddy club 3 or Skunk 2 stage 2 cam, but i forgot about all the valve overlap. I was going to get a set of NA performance cams and put them on my car which will eventually have a DIY turbo kit on it. I didn't realize, because i wasn't thinking at the time, that you couldn't use NA cams on a turbo set up. I got it now......thanks everyone!!
