Does anyone have a good description on replacing Rear drum brake pads on a 1990 accord ex?? i have only replace pads on GM and Ford vehicles....never on a foreign car.
Thanks

The 1900 EX uses brake shoes. They are changed just like any other car, American or Foreign.

Oh! OK...do they require the same type of adjustment as American cars??

They have auto shoe adjusters which are activated by backing up and putting on the brake. On installation, you need to manually adjust the shoes until just before you cannot get the drum on.

Most FWD car's rear drum brakes are non-servo type, which means they aren't self adjusting when backing up. They adjust when the parking brake is applied. If the lining on the shoes are equal, the front shoe's lining isn't noticeably shorter, then you have this type (non-servo).
