Smog Pump (Air Injector Reactor)

I've got a 79' L-82 Vette with the smog pump on it. I'd like to just pull the damn thing off because one of the hose joints is cracked and it's got an unpredictable rattle to it. Anyone know of a manufacture of a dummy pully I can replace it with?

It looks like I can just cut the belt and remove the pump, hoses and the whole works. The belt isn't hooked up to anything else. Anyone see a reason why I can't do that?

Well, It might not pass the emissions test without the pump. I saw a pulley like the one you're talking about on www.ecklers.com. Good luck! :)

How silly of me. We don't have smog tests in Wisconsin!...at least not where I live. I guess I get to rip that hp robbing piece of crap off the engine and toss it in a box in my basement marked "don't need no stinking smog gear in Wisconsin"..lol...
