I'm looking for what people would think will be the best mods for my 3sgte. I have intake and exhaust.

Well, first you need to decide what your goals are.
What do you want the car (and engine to do)?
You may want to start reading here:

best mods? good tires and decent suspension will be the most noticeable changes you can make to the car.
it depends on what your power goals are and what the ultimate purpose of the car will be.

Well my goal for this is to have a pretty decent power output, crisp handling with some angle for drifting. For power i'm looking for around 300-315hp at the crank. I know this would be suicide to learn drifting with that much power so i'm planning on building my car up over about a year and a half. I am thinking for my first mod suspension then a 2 way LSD, maybe a 1.5 way.

I know what people say about MR drivetrain cars. Yes i know the rear end snaps real fast. I don't want something which will be easy compared to a mid-engine rear wheel car. I want something which will take ton and tons of practice.

well it doesnt matter about taking lots of practice to be able to do it it just wont be good for doing it period. you can achive 300 easy with stock stuff just add on but once you get to 300hp you have to upgrade alot of stuff fyi jl anyways

Why would it not be good for drifting period I someone who drifts a MR and prefers it over FR.

i'd say swap turbos to a t3/t4 setup or go for less power and use a CT20B .... water injection is a great idea as well as and intercooler and something to controll the fuel .... check out the power primers for more info(http://www.mrcontrols.com/primers/power.htm)
Also if your looking to drift i'd replace the front and rear bumpers to save your stock ones....(for when you crash cause in drifting everyone crashes at some point or another)
And 's want a fully adjustable suspension like the tein Flex coilovers but there $1700
Good Luck

Thanks for the help here. I was doing some research a few days ago and i'm thinking about the t3/t4 kit with intercooler. Then to set up water injection not as a power booster, but for if the engine gets a little warm since i know mr2's like to heat up a bit. I am wondering jekyl what grind cams would i need to make 300 hp?

What would the best turbo be for a powerband from 5000 rpm to 9000 rpm? I have a friend who is getting everything balanced and all that kind of stuff and was wondering what size turbo would be best.

I am also looking forward to try to get into formula d if i can get my car n my skills down. im looking to show most people that mr2s can drift bc many blieve you cant n if you do know how, then your the man bc they r sooo hard to handle when your drifting, theres a certain limit i learned on my mr2 where i can push it b4 itll come all the way out n go into a spin or not far enough where it corrects n straightens to quickly! jekylandhyde- ur the man by the way. u got some sweet mr2s drifting, the blue one with white body kit looks like mine! www.cardomain.com/id/g3seifert ya should check out my mr2! take care n drift hard!

I would begin by freeing up power, before adding it, like a lightened fly wheel, a high flow exhaust, but you already have that, maybe try to lighten the car up a little. I don’t know if this will make a difference, but correct me if I'm wrong, lighter wheels, a turbo timer, FCD, MBC, or an electric one, and some descent rotors might be a good start.
