'03 I35 not responsive..

Hello,,
My i35 is acting up, I got into my car in the morning today, started the engine and and noticed that mu dashbord lighted up with "warning lights" (check engine, SLIP, ABS). For second I though that it will go away, so I have put the car in reverse pressed on the accelerator, but the car goes in idle ??? (won't go over 1500rpms),it almost look like the throttle does not response to accelerator, ECU went bad?? turned off the car waited 2min and tried again, but no change, I just washed the car on saturday (but it was fine bk then), regular wash @ home, I did not go to work today because of this problem, please advice....

Your car is possibly in safemode, ECU limits rpm to crawl. That happens when/if MAF or cam pos sensor is bad. (Still ABS/slip does not fit in there.) Open close sensor connectors...

How about voltage at battery?

Did u also wash engine? Pls, never use water in computer centers...

Is there any change after engine warmup? If its only COLD, points to TPS (water?).

there was no water in the engine compartament, just the outside

I have connected that code scanning tool and i get P1222 2times
P1226 2times
all together i see 4 codes, checked connections, fuses, when I started car no response from o2 sensor nor evap sensor, will keep on looking..

- 1122 is throttle ctrl function =TPS (see FSM p.473 and forwards)

TPS is a resistor; even new resistors may be bad and break anytime as all human made tingies... Its structurally the same as this and may be DIY repaired. Easy and relatively cheap to replace (90$?); click on: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/748507/6

- 1126 points to a relay in this circuit. Knock on the relay with the screwdriver head -or- replace. Relay location is seen on p.484

Btw. Those codes fit with your description - which is not always the case.

You can buy that tool for $180 @ AUTOZONE(they do have cheaper one for $80), but I rented it for them for $180, but will get all my $ back once tool returned (got 30 days)...

Where is the relay again??

U have the downloaded manual, do u? Open, scroll to page EL-484 and view that (bad) drawing, then try to locate relay under THE hood... sorry cannot do that for u. In the manual there is somewhere also a locator page for all these lidl boxes... dive in.

What manual are you all referring to. I am looking for a manual for my I35 now. Who has a good one. The haynes from Autozone suck. Not enough detail.
