i replaced the stockers with accel 140017 45,000v coilpacks for the "its better and faster and looks great" purpose, along with ngk platinum plus plugs, and taylor 8mm racewire. the whole deal is, everytime i put the new coils on, at about 4,000 rpm, the motor always gets goofy!! i dont know what is up, and it makes me mad!!! it always wants to like shut off, almost like a miss. i have the plugs gapped at the fact. spec, and thought that might be too much with 50% more efficient coils, but havent tried anything yet. if anyone has any ideas/guesses/cures, it would be greatly appreciated!!!
oh yeah, and even a stock 3800 gt can kill a crustang with no prob, did it many a times!! anyone have a remedy for the 107mph limit too?

Have you tried the new coils with other plugs such as Autolite or AC Delco a range colder? I know its a pain in the butt swapping out plugs but it beats losing out on the coils. A lot of GT/GTP owners have had bad luck with NGKs.
On Mustangs......I only pick on Cobras......lol. :lol2:

The PCM limits the speed. Buy a reprogrammed PCM, that will take care of that.

it tells me to replace with 1tr4a-15, but i spent a little less money and got thetr55gp. i just read the site, and the higher the number....the 55, compared to the 4 before the a, designates a 1.5 heat range colder....so, do i still yet nee dot go colder? thanks for your input on this, ive been messing with it for a couple months

For troubleshooting purposes its a good idea to go back to the stock AC Delco platinums or one range colder AC Delco 41-932. Or you could try the Autolite 605 which is one range colder than stock. Autolite 104 is 2 ranges colder.
As I mentioned earlier a lot of people have run into problems with the NGKs. Various symptoms such as misfire or cutout at certain or high rpms, etc. Good luck!
