ok please dont flame.....
but if you had 2g's or maybe 2.5g's to spend on your 4th gen just performance no looks . but it had to be a setup that is not the normal. have fun with this because i cant think of anything that i havent seen a Thousand times i know it because the cars are old and only a number of things work and only some of them work good . you wouldnt but a b16 in your car with a ls trans to it but tell odd things like that . stuff that might work well . like i was thinking what if some one had a supercharged h23 with a b16 trans in a rex that would be quick but not every day same as the last guy setup stuff like that .
oh and i no my h23 thing would be more then 2g's but whatever

Everything has been done before, everything. But there isn't a whole lot you can do with $2-2.5G's. I'm not trying to flame with what I'm about to say, just being realistic...don't try to be unique unless you've got some dough and have enough info to know what isn't your every day swap (or what-not). When trying odd things (say a K-series swap), you run the risk of biting off more than you can chew. Unless you're experienced with fabrication and automotive as a whole, you're just going to end up pissed off and frustrated when you run into problems (and you will). That's why for most swaps and stuff like that, there are walkthroughs and tons of info on them; so others don't run into the same problems. That's why so many people do the b16a or b18 swaps, because there is a ton of info on it already. Don't be too unoriginal (follow like a sheep), but don't be too original that you spend a ton of $ and get over your head with problems.
But back to the topic. As I said before, $2-2.5G's doesn't go very far. It will basically get you a ZC, D-series, B16a, LS, or a B20 (with some $ left over to play with for most). And nothing having to do with those hasn't been done with before.

Stay d-series...
And do suspension. It'll make your car a lot more fun.
A nice setup:
SOHC ZC
4 door or Si tranny
Koni yellows
H&R or Ground Controls
ST rear sway
...and still some $ left over.

i say go twin turbo not many have done it mostly because a big fat snail is better than two small one but it would be different and you should be able to for under 2.5k if you go with jy parts and do the fabbing your self.

It'd be the same as an H-series swap (even the same mount kit).

I'v been thinking of putting an AMC 258 (4.2 liter) strait 6 into a fourth gen. You could do wheel stands half way down the track if you got traction.

well as far as engine wise really every hodna engien has been put int oa car it doesnt belong it like the new k24 being put into a crx. so really if you somethign thats outta the ordinary swap in a motor that not part of hte honda acura line. sure its not cheap but tis rare. like putting a nissan sr20 motor into your honda. it would be quick like no other yet still have the honda to it. so you have ot think out side of the honda acura box and thign big. 2.5 grand goes a long way if you know how ot use it.

Generally when it comes to performance on a budget I wouldn't really suggest trying to be unique.. Thats just me though, since money IS an object I'll just stick with stuff thats tried, tested, and true. ;)

Shouldn't this be in the Off Topic thread then? It's a "if you had a resonably amout of $ to put in your car, what would you do" type deal. :dunno: makes sence to me.
