hello everybody.....i posted this thread because i'm very curious about the new mclaren F1 Limited DRIVING Ambition Book released a few months ago by mclaren, and wich costs more than 800 Euros....has anyone in this forum bought it already?
Do you think there are still books available? and for how long? do you think it has to be bought now?
in my opinion, it's the best of the best. i mean, covered with authentic leather from the mclaren f1 seat, and all the other things.

The expensive special edition versions of Driving Ambition have been available for several years, not several months. There are descriptions of both the Limited Edition version and the Owner's Edition version on the legacy McLaren cars website.
http://www.mclarencars.com/home/hfram.htm
The two books appear to be the same, but the Owner's Edition is numbered for each car and supposedly includes a synopsis of the chassis history of that particular car. It would be limited to ~100 I would assume, versus 1000 copies for the Limited version. The biggest benefit to the special versions is an additional ~130 pages. I don't know what extra content they chose to include, but hopefully they expanded on the GTR sections, and added additional photos/info on the LM and GT.
I am planning on trying to pick up a copy of the Limited Edition version this year. I hope they are still available. Have you seen them listed somewhere recently?

I believe that he is talking about the new "Le Mans 10th Anniversary" reprint.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary, a commemorative version of the Limited Edition of the ‘Driving Ambition’ book is being produced, which will include a DVD of the historic 1995 Le Mans race and a limited edition print.
The Limited Edition of “Driving Ambition” details in over 400 pages the definitive story of the conception, production and history of the McLaren F1 road car and the Le Mans F1 GTR.

If that is what he's talking about, I want one too. Here's a link to the info Stratoraptor posted above. Scroll down to the bottom of the article:
