friggin 93 accord

ok just changed alternator on my 93 accord then charged battery engine started fine but belts were squeling figured ok ill adjust it not car wont start again tried checking ignition coil with digital ohm meter no reading from terminals to secondary terminal does sound like a cause to yall p.s. anyone wanna by a 93 accord

sorry i just replaced the altenator in my 93 accord. I then had my battery charged and it started right up but belts were squeling. When i shut it off and tried to start again engine will rotate but will not start. I just tried changing the ignition coil but that does not seem to be the problem. any sugestions, could it be spark plugs? (been over year since plugs changed)

Anything is possible and you won't know until you do some testing. Is it a fuel problem or a ignition problem. You need to test. See if you have spark by removing a spark plug lead and turning the engine over. You can use your fingers, timing light or look for a spark between the end of the lead and ground. If that is OK, then test for fuel/fuel pump operation. I would also look at all fuses. Then get back to us with your results. Could be plugs but not likely.

And, by the way, the problem has nothing to do (directly) with the alternator, the new battery, or the squealing belts.

Betting you zorched something in the ignition during the electrical work. You have the battery disconnected while doing the alternator?

yeah i had electrical disconnected while doing altenator soark plugs look fine buddy just loaned me a spark plug tester thing so im gonna check that out hope its not a fuel issue or worse the ignition control module the wires on the altenator plug are little stripped at the plug think that may have something to do with it ? and battery lite stays on while trying to start the car

looks like its the altenator got car running checked voltage at battery and its not charging guess that whats i get for getting the altenator at auto zone
