Manuel to Auto tranny?

Is it possible to install an AW-4 tranny from a 88 XJ into an 90 wrangler with the manuel tranny? Both have the 4.0 Ltr engine. Could I re install the original T-case onto the AW-4 tranny or would it be better to use the T-case off the 88. Both vehicles have the vacuum disconnect front axle. Oh and how much work would it be to change over to fuel injection on the 90 4.0 thats carberated, the 88 is fuel injection.

Anything can br done. But your opening a can of worms. Is it legal in your state. You can end up with a jeep you can't get plates for or sell.
The computer may need changing, wiring, sensor may be different. Good luck.
