87-89 engine

what engine comes in the 87-89 na mr2s is it the 5sfe? thanks

Hears How it goes:

For the 1st Gen...
4AGE = the NA motor
4AGZE = Supercharged Motor

For the 2nd Gen...
*in the U.S....
5SFE = the 2.2L NA motor
3SGTE = The 2.0L Turbo Motor

( I know there are other motors... )

Outside the U.S....
3SGE = 2.0L NA motor ( there are many generations of this motor including the BEAMS 3SGE which pumps out a insane 200hp but was only offered in 1000 2nd Gen MR2's in the late 90's which ment it never made it to the US :mad: )

Ummm aside from that i dont think there are any more except the 3rd gen motors which are called the 1ZZFE motors. I'm not sure they vary out side the U.S.

Quick Chassis code guide:

Gen 1 = AW11 ( I think there's another too)
Gen 2 = SW20 ( I think there's a SW21 too but not sure)
Gen 3 = ZZW30
