while riding in my stock 95 gst with the cruise set (a minimal amount of of accelerator constant for a few seconds), i develop a terrible miss. this is can be remedied by just clutching for a second allowing a drop to around idle RPM's. is this a wastegate problem? oil deposits in the intake i think?!

Welcome to AF.com bro!!
what all have you checked?
Spark plugs/gapping? wires... basic maintenance?
How is it under full boost? is the power there?

Just a side note... for some great info on DSM's... check out www.vfaq.com
great for lots of do-it-yourself info....

If ya think it might be oil deposits... have you checked your upper/lower intercooler pipes for oil? if ya have a bad pcv valve you can put boost into your valve cover and it can put some oil into your intake.... I had that problem (oil in intake) but not the one you are having.... I don't know... just throwin shit out to ya....

Well if it seems I have oil in my IC piping...what does that mean?

My problem was a bad PCV valve allowing boost to go from the intake manifold into the valve cover and that was pushing oil/oil vapor through the hose on the passenger side of the valve cover that recirculates to the intake pipe just before the turbo... I disconnected the hose from the PCV valve and put a bolt in it for a bit... my oil problem ceased. Quite a few people make a catchcan off of the hose on the side of the valve cover to "catch" the oil instead of letting it go through your intake... I have tried a few different PCV valves but none seal up like they are supposed to... If someone knows of a brand that works let me know!!! otherwise I just see the PCV valve as a boost leak....
Got to www.vfaq.com for the catchcan shit... and tons of other info!!!!! good site to have!!

chrecked the compressor output line and i do have oil residue there...bad seals in the turbo? what am i asking is can this be causing my power loss at a constant cruising speed? any time in which i am varying the accelerator depression, i'm fine... no miss...so...???
