would one of these superchargers off of of these cars work for a camaro or firebird with the 3.8 v-6? Its the same motor so i dont see why not. Both 3800 series II. Anyone have any idea if the motors or identical between the fbodys and the grandprix the cams and heads and such? And then between the supercharged and N/a models. If i could find a junker i could yank it off and stick on a v6 camaro or firebird. A friend of mine's parents have a GTP and it just got me thinking...

not the same motor, wont work. What you would have to do is get the whole supercharged engine and drop it in place of the na engine you are replacing. There are several differences. the supercharged engine has a different cam, different forged pistons, and run a lower compression.

Yeah, by the time you re-configure the N/a engine it'd be easier to drop the s/c one in, and probably cheaper. If you want more infor, head over to the Grand Prix forum, almost ALL of them have GTP's.
