Check Honda-Tech for some pre set maps. There are plenty of threads to read about tunning with it also.

Got a question. If you already had this unit on one car (Nissian) then transfer it over to your other car (honda) does it retain all the settings? My friend gave me one to try and hook up to mine. Got all the directions etc. hooked it up and the car ran like crap. Even reset everything according to the directions. I gave it back to him but I was always curious about it.

and did u start the car before u ran the set-up? if so that woulda fucked it

That's probably what i did wrong. Ehh, it just ran real rich. Took it off and it was back to normal. He didn't have the instructions or anything so I was just going what info i could get off the web site.

it says right in the installation... DO NOT run engine before intial set-up, engine damage may occur

do you have an fpr? if so, you can play with that as well and tune with the safc.
In all the hondas i've "street" tuned, i've found that leaning out the mixture is better than richening it. ALL hondas are set a little on the rich side. You will probably feel a small power increase from leaning it out say...-5% across the board. But, don't be fooled, this is no turbo and don't expect crazy gains without cams, cam gears, an fpr, etc.

yea i know i wont get crazy gains or anything, i just wanted to see if i can improve anything, but i noticed since I installed it, its fixed things, no longer have an erratic idle which was caused by the TPS, and for some reason, it seems to rip faster :) once i get the turbo on, i'll be a very happy camper tho and will be renting dyno time :)

why dont you just fix the TPS instead of trying to find a halfass workaround?

well i was going to fix it but since the SAFC fixed it for me, why bother?

because it didnt fix it, it just masked the problem. i guarantee you that your car isnt at its full power with that TPS being bad. its one of the main sensors that the ECU looks at when determining how much fuel to inject. and no amount of piggybacking is gonna fix that.

make sure you dont lean it out so much that you start detonating

thats the main thing i'm worried about, i dont think i'm gonna play with it untill i have money to rent a dyno and wideband
