What if...?

I have always wondered how humans would act and how the world would if we were God? Say there was no higher being then us, would we be acting as the loving image we depicted as God or would we bask in our conquerings as the cruel Satans of earth?
I think the world would be a far worse place if we knew that we were Gods ourselves. I mean, most of us refrain from diong certain deeds because of fear on judgement day. Even those who don't believe in God don't do certain things because moral beliefs but they would be meaningless if there was no consequences to our actions.

Any input?

I dont think it would be much different from how it is now. People do things, for the most part, based on what they view as right or wrong in their own minds. Although just for shits and giggles id say we would live in a fluffy cloud type world with billions of hot chicks and little fuzzy animals called snugglewoogies.

even if there wasn't a god, we'd still be monitored. Hierachy is inevitable. My house doesn't believe in god, but there is still the boss that you have to answer to. someone would take the head position. personally i think it should be Oprah. then we'd get free stuff for doing jack shit.

then there would be no earth. Massive war or no creation. Thats what I think.

You know, I think it'd be kinda the same, no different, most people dont do stuff because of their morals, not because of fear of when Judgement day comes. I mean unless we had 'powers' or stuff like that, it'd be normal

Well its basicly just a point of not believing in a 'higher' being, or there being one. Basicly we're all athiest if this were to happen, thats just the way I see it.

Immortality? Power beyond our wildest dreams? Billions like us?

The world would be worse I think. It reminds me of the movie Bruce Almighty. A whole lot of us would want to help and create while others would want to hurt and destroy. The universe would be a chaotic.

On thing that can go with AF an the god theory....

Power isn't any good if you cant control it with restraint or discipline...

I don't mean in a fable, God throwing lightning blots kind of way. I meant that weare what we are now only to discover there is no heaven and hell, no greek Gods. No faith in a more divine being other than us. That living as we do now is the life of "gods". No 10 commandements, no religions. Nothing to keep us in check other than us.

I seriously believe in that brain access theory that was wild...

humans only can tap into about 10% of there total brain capacity einstein an people taped into about 12%. They say that if we could tap into even 30% we would be gods.

If humans were god, we would all kill each other with due diligence.

We use all of our brains, just 10% at a time. All of our brains are tapped into, just not all at once.

I think that there would still be some system of rule and all that, just because there are always going to be smarter, more capable people who can survive better than the slower ones. Darwinism, 100%.

We do use all of our brain. The whole "we only use 10%" is some old wives tale crap. Granted some people may seem like they only use 10% but most all of us use the whole dang thing.

Yup - the 10% myth is still out there strong. http://www.csicop.org/si/9903/ten-percent-myth.html

On the original point: If we are the highest being and we knew it, there would be a whole lot more death and destruction then there is now. There are billions of people who have had their morals set by religions. Sure, there are some who follow the golden rule without believing in a god, but I think the world is better off knowing there is a God.

I don't think there would be any more death and destruction just because no one believed in any god. Throughout history many people who considered themselves religious have been more than eager to start a war. If anything mans "religions" are even more to blame.

Exactly, I have morals but they have nothing to do with a higher being. We have rules set up, laws, and they are supposed to be followed. If the rules are broken by you then something bad happens to you. Since we have this system set up there will always be something to try and keep some "morals" in place.

I could see the whole death and destruction thing if since man first appeared on earth if he knew that he was the supreme being. Then there might not be any care about if something is right or not to someone else because you view it as right in your own eyes. But since we have a system of rules and consequences I think now is probably a good time to inform all of you that I am actually the supreme being.
