so, i was driving around in my mom's camry late at night around midnight, was gonna bust a right to grab some grub at the local 24-hour grocery store when i saw this 90s looking mustang with those two strips on the back and front end, i cancelled my right turn signal and crept a lil faster to catch up with the stang, the speed limit was 40 and this guy must be going only 30 or something, by now im at about 30 mph and side by side with the stang, i put the camry to neutral and reved a lil to say i wanna have fun tonight, i dont know about you but if i drove a stang and a little kid in a camry just reved at me i would've reved back to show the kid messed with the wrong stang, so anyways, he and his buddy on his passenger smiled back and gave me a "no" nodd, i floored it and was about 4 cars ahead of the stang, i slow it down to about 30 again and looked over again to see if they really wanna have fun tonight or wat, they started laughing and gave me a "no" nodd again, ok no problem, i was fine with it, was disappointed that night, fast car but driver was not, tears tears, i was rejected :'(
p:s: it was too hot in bannsville, i had to come back http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/images/smilies/lol.gif

Don't worry. Your mom's 16 second camry would've been put to death by that 5.0 mustang. Didn't want to waste their gas on you at all. I would've put lengths on you myself and that's with regular acceleration.
Be sure there is a police car in sight before showing off because I'm seeing more people pulled over more often. What would mommy think when she finds out her car is towed and you in jail for racing?

I back down to cars that can't compete with me. I love losing, makes me want to get more done and get it done quicker.
Plus, when you have a car that can take 96-97% of the cars on the road, you need to lose once in a while.

96-97%? Isn't that a little generous?

I turn down if I don't want to run.
Or I have someone in the car with me.

Sure a few times when I was still running my turbo coupe I turned a 13.66 on street tires and a few times I turned down races mainly with ricers... like body kitted civics and a couple integras just because I didn't think the race would be worth the fines and tickets if I got caught... I really only raced people I knew could give me a good run....

Not really. I'll not race if there is too much traffic or if I'm in a residential area. But I pray that they follow.haha
What can I say? I never get races here....

I've turned down one. It was a Ford F150 vs my Olds Regency. I saw the guy put on some gloves, so I fit it off the line, he lets me go then flys by me a little and waves at me to go. I wave no, and he gives the "come on" hand, shook no again and he drove off. All my other "races" have been beating civs off the line and letting them ricer by me once I hit 5 above the speed limit.

All the time because I know better than to race in a V6 auto Firebird. I've raced a few and won those but usually ignored the majority of the idiots that wanted to race me.
The one that shines brightest in my list of idiots was some kid in a brand new black Civic Si (his mom probably bought it for his graduation). We're in 5 o'clock traffic down Slide in Lubbock (Malls, restaraunts, other little shops) so there's plenty of people all over. I stop at a light with two lines of cars ahead of us. We leave off the light and this kid, in all his crappy pop music glory, runs his engine all through his first gear to his redline and then botches his shift. At the same time I am laughing and say to my friend in the passenger seat that this kid can't shift for shit.
Two blocks later he does the ricer flyby at about 60 in a 40 with 35 traffic and damn near rear ends a Cobra.
Oh well, love reading about the kills some of you guys get. And don't even ask about the auto cocker V6 that I've got. It's a long story and I always wish I had a manual haha.

Did it have a Tech sticker on it? If so, I might know that person. Also...they have malls in Lubbock? I thought they had dust, and a Sonic? Thats all any of my buds at Tech tell me...

That strikes so close to the truth, really. Let alone the endless construction that gets torn out and rebuilt again two months later because they can't get the job done right or they can't exactly decide where to put Marsha Sharp's name on a sign.
Nah, didn't see a tech sticker on it, and there has been an increase in the amount of those Si's over the past year. I was genuinely suprised to see an Evo VIII in the area. I usually just see idiots on the highway of the highest degree, and it seems to be centered around Lubbock. Maybe that's why they call it the Hub City.
