98 Contour Lights "pulsating"

I have a 98 Countour with 100,000 miles on it and lately, at night with the lights on, they seem to pulsate a bit, they go dim then back up to normal brightness as I sit at a stop light. Any ideas? The interior lights do the same thing at the same time, as does the light on the CD changer control. I think my alternator might be on its way out, am I right?

Thanks all!

sounds like an alternator to me. iron eagle is right, its about $150. I cant remember, but i think thats with the core exchange.

Its pretty crammed up in there. If you have the tools, i would do it yourself to save on labor. Ive gotten the change down to about an hour - hour and half.
