So 2 of my friends have similar maximas...I don't know the years off the top of my head...but both are nice cars. Both have intakes I believe, and one has some upgraded clutch. Anyway, I was having a small gettogether at my house and they both showed up. And before they started drinking, they asked each other if they wanted to run.
Ten minutes later we are all lined up at a nice fairly secluded VERY wide open strip. There two maxs line up, and I go down about a 1/4 mile in my mom's car with a couple of passengers. So one friend does the flagging, and they're off. They fly by me a few seconds later, pretty even...the guy with the clutch a car or so ahead. The other says he just missed 3rd.
So they turn around to line up again, when all of a sudden, we get called by the flagger saying cops are coming. So we all take off like bats outta hell, tires squeeling, a slight disregard for "traffic control devices"...you get the idea. So we meet up at a burger king, and call the flagger back...realizing that we left him back there, and that one car is still unaccounted for.
So the one guy with the max drives home and swaps cars just in case, as we call the flagger. We what I forgot to mention was that the guy in question had been playing quite a bit of beerpong prior. So as he is army-crawling through bushes and hiding, the missing car has since circled back to look for him...and there are NO cops.
So it takes them awhile to find him...because he thinks they are the cops. So finally they get him, and we all return back to my house, and start discussing what happened. When it becomes evident that in the scramble...only the one drunk guy saw the alledged 'cops'. So after much argument, it is widely believed that we ran from a Hyundia Santa Fe :iceslolan

the best part...I saw the flagger today...the guy has cuts ALL over. Apparently he fell a few times running, and has 'battle damage'.

HAHA running from a sante fe...reminds me of the time my friends were running from a bright light thinking it was the cops...turns out it was just the light from the camcorder of the guy recording the whole thing...the stupid things you do after consuming alcohol haha.
