transmission code p0740

When I start my car on my 2001 nissan maxima gle (AUTOMATIC TRANSMISION),

My overdrive lights flashes 16 times when i start the car, I checked the obd code, and is showing as TRANSMISSION SERVICE CODE P0740


DOES ANYONE KNOWN WHAT THIS MEANS?

T/C clutch solenoid valve I ; TCM detects an improper voltage
drop when it tries to operate the solenoid valve.
T/C CLUTCH SOL/V , TCC SOLENOID/

Take batt out for 30 min to clear the codes; maybe it never returns...

STILL:
Time to check voltage att batt, and TCU. If Alternator supply is ok, clean connectors (this is a very time consuming job, 2 days if done throughly. DIY).

After getting a diagnostic done at nissan, the problem appeared to have been a faulty solenoid.

I took it to a shop that a friend recommended and had the solenoid assembly replaced (shift solenoid valve)


The car now shifts much easier!
Engine light gone.
