ok well i need to find out what crank is in my 2.8 so i know which2.8 to get. suposably in 1988 the 2.8 engines had 2 different cranks, onle had 2 large lobes on the end closest to the trans and one ony had one lobe on that end. the store that sells the 2.8 told me to take off my oil pan and tell them which one i have so they give me the same one so i dont vibrate everywhere. i dont feel like taking off he oil pan cause its actally quite complicated. so i was wondering if there was a easier way to find out what crank is in my motor. ex: crank pully part number, vin number, ect. any one have any clue, does it really matter?

thanks-tom
