Break in period?

Just bought an 05 Focus ZX4 and want to take a trip from WI to MI. The car is not even through it's first tank of gas, and only has about 200 miles on it. The owners manual says to not stay at a steady speed, but interstate driving seems to stay pretty steady, lol. Would this trip kill my new car, or should I use my 01 V10 F250 and eat the gas costs?

I would call your dealer to confirm the break in period...that seems pretty odd.
