Ok i just found out that my stock motor mount bolts don't fit on my HCP? What bolts do i need to get for my hcp mounts?

The bolts that bolt it to the chassis?? Hmmm...mine came with the hardware to attach the mounts to the rear crossmember, transmission, and motor. I reused my old bolts to bolt the drivers side mount and transmission side mount to the chassis. I also reused the rear bolt to attach the mount to rear motor bracket.

OK well all i got was 4 mounts? I thought that was the whole kit? I tried my stock bolts but it didn't seemed to fit? Maybe i didn't get the whole kit?

just make sure they are the right diameter and length and get the corresponding nut, you should be fine. I dont think bolts come in much variety of materials? Obviously you want something strong.

Yeh i know. I guess if i get the rite size and think that its strong enough then i shouldn't be worrried.

how do they not fit?? are they loose when you insert them into the mounts?? if so, they should be. they put a looser tolerance on the holes on your mounts through the bushing than the factory ones because factory cars are straight, driven cars arent usually, so if they were built to the same tolerance than youd have a bitch of a time getting the mounts to line up...once you tighten it all down itll tighten up and wont go anywhere...

Well first i'm talkin about the bolts that mounts on to the b16. The bolts are too long i think. The thread is located towards the bottom and there is no thread on the top. So when i put that bolt on its like theres so much room on the top and even if you tighten it theres no thread on the top for to do that. So i wanna get a bolt thats all thread. Am i cofusing you guys?

I had to read it twice, but yeah I understand what you're saying. I would figure that the stock ones would still work only because they were made to be bolted for the length of the bracket, which you still use. The mounts fit inside, so I thought you'd be ok, but I guess not. Just take your old one to the home depot and find one the same dimensions but fully threaded. Shouldnt be too hard. If the threads have a different pitch, make sure you get a matching nut. you have 4 mounts in the hcp kit, right? so you use the existing front mount spot too. we actually cut the bracket out for that spot so the tranny would fit better.

Yeh i figured it shouldn't be too hard. How much do these bolts go for ? Like 40-80 cents each??

ok, i see what youre saying...i ran into that same problem with my tranny mount...just do what everyone else says...the only thing i might suggest is that instead of home depot, try a place that sells hardware to industry, they might be more durable than what youd get at home depot, or even the honda dealer...hondas bolts are real durable...

Yeh i might wanna try honda. I think they gonna cost like 10 bucks a bolt or something? Shit the honda dealer is expensiver here ? I'm gonna be lookin all over the place.
