hah you say 'economical'!
well, ok, most german/french/italian diesel car that drives around here does pretty much mpg (or l/100km as we say here)
but economical on the other hand - I pay over 650€ (780$) for taxes on my car. not economical for me :D
(oh, nice thing it needs just under 8l/100km... but one litre diesel is still more expensive than a gallon of super in the usa...)
