so this guy at work owns a 2003 grand prix gtp, for those of you who dont know the specs.
260hp
280 lbs tq

weight something around 3800lbs

supercharged on a 3.8 liter v6

its a 15.0 to high 14 second car. now i have driven his car and its pretty quick for a 4 door family car ya know, but of course no match for me.
well he is what you would consider a ricer, he thinks he can beat anything because he's never been in anything faster than his car.

he would hear me at work telling people my war stories and wouldnt really belive me.

he's been wanting to race me before my car had even been fixed and i would tell him, id kill em

him: how much hp do you have?
me: stock 300hp
him: cool, we should race sometime
me: not to be a dick but i'd destroy you, wouldnt really be a race
him: i still wanna race you, i think i'd do better then you think
me: well maybe one day
him: especially on the freeway, my car is so fast on the freeway
me: i'd beat you even worse on the freeway
him: well we'll see

he's a cool dude but just doesnt know his boundaries(shut up, i cant spell)
so anyway everyday after work since i've got my car he's been waiting on me and getting next to me and hitting the gas wanting to race me, but i never do.
so finally i get fed up and after work, he does it again and my buddy is behind me in his little 79 MG, so he keeps trying to get me to go, so finally i just hit it, took my first up to redline and let off. he stayed back and tried to avoid getting next to me.
i see my buddy behind me talking to him from car to car, so i called my buddy on the phone after they were done talking

him: LOL hello
me: he wouldnt leave me alone so i just hit it real quick on him
him: LoL omg, justin was tripin
me: what he say?
him: he looked like he had seen a ghost, LHAO
me: lol what he say?
him: he says "thats F@(&ing rediculous" lol
me: lol, i bet he wont do it again
him: (still laughing) he said he never seen anything move that quick before LOL
me: lol, yea well, at least he knows now
him: hell yea, dude i wish you could have seen his face lol
me: lol, thats funny, alright man i'll catch you tommorow
him: alright man lol

nice kill, ur car sounds fast....just curious what is the stock boost pressure? Are they stock at 15psi? or did you turn it up?

stock boost is at 9psi, i turned it up to 15

no the new GTPS are slower than the old ones, they weight more.

i see a lot of you dont know much about my car, or the vr4 for that matter, i keep forgetting alot of you guys are kinda new, so let me get this out the way.

1st gen vr4's run high 13's 300hp 305lbs tq
2nd gen vr4's(like igovert500) mid 13's 320hp 315lbs tq

me, i say every vr4 wether 1st gen or second gen is a mid 13 second car, cause with just a minute of your time, you can do the free boost mod and run the same psi as the 2nd gens, wich would get you running the same times-mid 13's

since i have not been to the track with my car, i dont guestimate my times, but in the world of 3/S with my mods most run high 12's and have around 380-400bhp
