98 v6 head gasket

Still thinking about this firebird i have found. Ive been thinking about how difficult replacing the spark plugs on those cars is and then relized that changing the head gaskets would ten times harder because the motor is so far back. Anyone ever have to do this with the motor still in the car? And another thing...is it true that the motors dont come out topside but come out throught the bottom of the engine bay? Thats crazy stuff if it is true and it makes it close to impossible for me to do.
