HID Kits close to stock?

I'm looking for an HID kit that can come close to the stock HID's you see on the 2005 Denali's, Audis, Benz's etc. Some of these places sell headlights that look almost purple!

Anyone have any positive experiences or recommendations?

Thanks!

Denalis don't come with HID from the factory; they do have projector headlight housings, but no OEM HID in them. If you want an aftermarket HID kit that comes close to stock HID in color temp, you need to get one with a 4200-4300K color temp. The higher the color temp, the more "purplish" the bulb color will appear...and the less lumens the output will be.

I won't get into the "aftermarket HID performance isn't as good as OEM HID performance" argument; the majority of people install aftermarket HID primarily for looks, but also for any perceived improvement in light output over stock/OEM halogens.

Who, me? Nah, just someone who has just about read it all in the various forums when it comes to aftermarket HID... :grinyes:

I agree with Tonytone.
I switched my regular Yukon headlights with aftermarket Denali ones and it is so worth it.
Cost was $260 for the pair a year ago from an ebay store. I can dig up the link if needed.
ALL aftermarket HID is ILLEGAL, except for some from Hella (German lighting maker) that they got out of due to lack of demand. They had Chevy but not GMC.
Take care, Eggert :bananasmi
