This is my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. It's for my art class assignment to draw a picture using an ENTIRE pen's ink. Yeah right. So anyways, it took about 3 hours to draw. I had to do it freehand BTW. The Cadillac is my other half of the assignment. It's pretty much what I think a flagship Cadillac sedan could look like. "ULS" for Ultra Luxury Sedan. I have never done a car at this angle. I think it's for good being my first.

I am aware that the wheels are way too small for the tires. And the rims arent very even. The cars in the backround behind the white Jeep (my other Jeep) are a little off, but they arent that important.

I want some feedback so I can do more pics like these. I now have all summer since today was the last day of school.
BTW, both pics are bigger in real life.

porscheguy, the scene with the jeep is just wonderful and excellent. for a change, somebody else includes the ENTIRE scene. you instantly go to the top floor of in the respect elevator.
the scene is well done, too. you have a strong light source. you have drawn background details that do not compete with the "hero" jeep. your ellipses are a bit shaky, but that can be worked out in due time.
i am thoroughly impressed with your effort with the pen as well! you are the model pupil that others need to follow as an example of.
the caddy is overall not as developed, and is not drawn as well. and your line hatching on both drawings can be more delicate and sophisticated, but who cares at this point. you get major props for the jeep scene.
excellent.

Yeah, the line hatching isnt that great. I was in a hurry to get it finished and could have been alot better. But I still think the Jeep could have been better. The backdoor is too short. That equates to very little legroom. Yet the passanger door is in correct proportion to the body. Even with the angle the rear door, it still is wrong. Yet the overall length of the car is the same as the original picture.

the overall effort is nice. the nit-picking you can do to yourself. you already know what is wrong with it.

The Jeep is sweet, very sweet and the cadillac, well i'm still looking at the Jeep.

Thanks for the props. Since you my Jeep pic is going over nicely, would anyone want to see other drawings of mine? None I can think of are as good as the Jeep, but a few I think are ok. BTW, they are more like the Cadillac in technique.

They arent THAT apectacular, but most took less than 5 minutes to draw. Consider the fact that I was in class when I drew all of these.

I think I tried drawing w/ a ball point pen. I think it is hard. Very cool loose drawings. I can't remember this artist's name but he would do entire masterpieces w/ ballpoint pen.
