97 AWD Tranny on a 95 AWD???

I am buying the tranny that guy posted on here.. it is a 97...will it go into my 95??? 95-99 crap is all the same for the most part...but you guys will know if it will go in....let me know for sure I need to know by tonight.. thanks

I believe 97-99 trannys need 97-99 Transfer cases... Along with 95-96 transfer cases need 95-96 trannys. Kevin will know for sure.

How did you tightin the plastic PVC pipe around your intake filter?

This is correct. They up and changed the gear ratios for no good reason. Ultimately the actual ratios in each gear are unchanged, but the output and tcase ratios changed. So tranny and tcase have to be a matched pair. Tcases usually go for about 150 bucks, so its not a big problem. See if the seller has it available. You wont be able to ship them together with UPS though, the tranny alone is within a few pounds of thier 150 pound limit once its all packed up. Some truck frieght services will work however. Jsut a heads up before you or he finds out the hard way. Good luck.
