Blinker Problems

Hello, I have a 1987 Mercury Cougar. I am having problems with my blinkers. They seem to work fine when my lights are off.. however when I turn my lights on the drivers side blinkers front and back do not work. Also the blinker light on the console stays on all the time, while the light are on. I Have replaced the bulbs, replaced the flasher, adn checked the sockets and all look fine.. I am stumped can anyone help me with this..
