I would like to know, what model company makes good pickup trucks? (ex. S10, Tacoma, Sonoma, 1500, etc.) My local hobby shop doesn't carry much.. If someone could tell me where I could order a good kit, please let me know. Thank you.

I thank you for your help. But I'm not really liking the selection Revell has for the trucks. Thank you though.

The Hilux by Aoshima is sweet. I just built one and I have the Version 2 with the Phantom grille. Really cool stuff. Best1hobby.com sells them.

AMT made the S10, 1500, they might be out of production though. They where available in easy kit(not much work to do) and detalied, (full suspension and engines)
The tacoma, well, Aoshima makes the hilux, which is somewhat the older toyota truck, the US spec, left hand drive versions are diffucult to find to me. But agian, try ebay.
Ebay man. It's a great place. I think I've got a quarter of my models from there. Walmart, some craft stores even carry models everynow and then. Good luck finding the truck you want.

the 4X4 is a promo/snap only....no chassis/engine stuff. I'm sure though if you are creative enough, you could take the promo kit as a pattern and build the glue kit into 4X4, but you'll be very hard pressed to find an accurate 4X4 twin I-beam set up. so go rock crawler/extreme lift path and build a radical setup. aoshima (I believe) put out the late 80's early 90's pathfinder in two and four wheel drive, it is called a terrano, I think Tamiya also makes this kit. search your usual suspects...ebay, google. revell/monogram also has several of the late bodied (97-up) Ford F-150 in various applications like the lightning, regularcab long bed, extended cab short bed, I think they have the regular cab short wide bed too, not sure though.
lindberg has a 4X4 of the 97-up F150.
Monogram also has several versions of the newer C1500 and GMC trucks with different options such as boats and jetskis included. Monogram/Revell also has the "boxy" S-10 in a stock/custom kit and the GMC Cyclone with the turbo Grand National motor in it (it is a SWEET kit)
use your search browser and find some truck websites for your import vehicles and see if they were offered under any other names...i.e., Pathfinder=Terano Hilux=Tacoma.....etc....
