? for 2001 Bravada

Is there anyway to increase the gas mileage for my truck? It seems to be rather thirsty for a V6. Also why does the truck rattle so much on bumpy roads. Sounds as if their is a lot of things loose on it. Is this normal? 2001 Bravada w/60,000 miles on seems like it should be tighter

Mine is a 99, and I get between 16-18 in the city, and maybe 21 on the highway if the wind is blowing right on a level road. That's about the best I've seen in 93,000 miles. It's a pretty heavy vehicle to be moving around.

As far as the rattles, I've had my share but most were fixed with a swift kick or smack to the offending interior part.
