I am going to be towing an aluminum boat behind my 2005 corolla and i was wondering if you guys think I'll need an oil cooler.
I know the boat doesnt weigh much but the trailer is an oldie and made of heavy duty medal, so im guess around to be on the safe side, 900lbs maybe? Anyways, i live up in the mountains so i will be goine up some hills and stuff pretty regularly. I just dont want to harm my tranny, especailly with summer coming.

thanx

I want to lean towards no, but I'm not entirely sure. So wait for other's opinions. My question is, are you asking about an oil cooler or a tranny cooler? Because the title mentions one, and then in your thread, you mention the other.

Having an add on trans cooler because your towing is a good idea. They are inexpensive and easy to install. Cheap insurance against overheating.

Totaly agree it is a well worth the peace of mind to just go a head and install a tranny cooler.
