"Mate" ripped me off $700!

I was going to post this last wednesday - 7 days ago, but I thought "no, I'll give this fucker a little more time", 7 days later, I have a legit rant.

Fucking hell. My bloody comptuer monitor went bullshit on me, and died, so I talked to a mate of mine who has his own I.T company about getting me a new monitor, I scored a 19" Philips, LCD flatscreen for $350, which is fucking cheap, the thing is, I only ordered a CRT, not a LCD, but he rang me up and said "I pulled a deal with my supplyer and I got it as a LCD", so I said "that's ok, but you didn't have to do that dude", he said "it's ok man"..

That was 4 weeks ago.

Around the 19th of May, my dad's monitor shat it self, and Dad asked me if I could get my mate to get him a new one, mate said "yeah, just give me $350 when you can, so I got it to him on the 21st/

2 weeks ago, on the 23rd of May, he rang me up (on the monday) and said his supplyer accidently sold both my dad's, and my monitor, and it would take another week (7 days) before the next shipment, so I said "ok then, that's cool".

Got a MSG last monday (the 30th may) saying his has the monitors and will drop them off that night, I said "ok cool".
Tuesday came, he said "I'm busy, will drop them off in the morning"
Wednesday came.
Thursday, still "I'm busy ring asap"
Friday...

SUNDAY NIGHT CAME, I said "bring them around tonight dads getting pissed off", he said "im pissed off too, will ring"

It's now wednesday 9 days later he has our 700 bucks, and our fucking monitors, and still nothing.

Fucking hell, what do I do? If I don't have them by friday I'll be demanding the money back and taking my business else where, I don't care if it costs 200 bucks more, I just want my fucking monitor, I do not trust him anymore.

Do you have any paperwork? Small claims court can be your best bet either way. Just remember the mental anguish ($$$) you've been put through. ;)

It may be best to ask nicely for the monitors, explaining your current situation and that you need the two monitors for....work or school. I dunno, make somethign up.

Not only do I doubt that I'll get my monitors tomorrow afternoon (about 4:30), but I'll have to wait till monday (14 days after shipment came in) till he gets back into Sydney, :bs: Then how long will I have to wait until I get my monitors or my fucking money?

Mum came up with an idea, piss his family off until he gives us our money back, and he has 5 days from tomorrow (going away or not), then she's going to get the Dept. of Fair Trading involved, and expose him as a fraudulant dealer.

Well I rang him an ahour after my shift ended at 10:30 (rang him then) and he said he'll ring me in the morning. Well I woke up at fucking 2pm today. I don't know why? Rang him a few times today, he said he'll ring me tonight, well he didn't.

Oh, and Dad called him, now this cunt is claiming he's given me the money already!! He told dad he's given me the money, and every time he rings me (hasnt' rung me for 3 weeks) I've been at work or uni (haven't been to uni for 4 weeks!!) which is a load of shit. I tried to ring in ALL day sunday, all day monday, and all day tuesday. I got pissed off, and rang the Dept. Of Fair Trades (govt. dept. that deals with crook business) complained to them, they said I have to write him a letter, and give him a certain amount of time to give me my shit.

Well, I went to give him the letter (drop it off in his mail box) and the fucker was home!

I got freaked out because he had friends over, so I steaked out his house from up the street (haha, this was awesome, I felt powar!) He left about 30 minutes later doing burnouts and shit. A few hours later I went to his house again to drop the letter off.

This was about 1:30ish. At 2pm, he rang my house! haha.

First time he's ever rung my house. I wasn't there though.

So I gave him (in the letter) till thursday (14th July) to give me my shit, then I'm going to the police for the threaten of violance towards my family, and Comsumer Affairs

Well I tried to ring him on Thursday at 3, didn't get through, so I made my phone call, Dept. of Fair Trade said I can make the complaint on the internet, so I spent about 30 minutes finding the shit, filled out the form, I'm about to click "send" and I decide to ring him. This is at 4pm.

I get through to him (finally!) and he says he's in Camberra. That's where all the big cajone Goverment people live, about 5 hours south-west-ish of my house, but he "promises to have your money to you at 8:30am monday when he gets back, and a letter of appology to my family". So I said "O.K", if not, I click send, no matter what.

So I go to work, and my FIRST delivery (pizza) was TO HIS HOUSE!! First time ever!! And I thought "get fucked!" HE'S FUCKING HOME.

This is just TWO hours later! HE ANSWERS THE DOOR!

He knows I work there! He tells me he's 5 hours away won't be back till monday, then orders pizza delivered from my work?? Does anyone else thinks that's halarious?

update:

Davo has clicked the send button, with all the criminal details. Somebody will file it into a complaint bin, where it will eventually be processed by a freshly hired secretary who will place it in the wrong box. Davo will call in a couple weeks to see what went wrong, and to cover up the company will say "We are in the process of filing paperwork for your case. As soon as the paperwork is complete we will begin an investigation."

Davo will then come here with the great news that the claim is being filed, and the investigation is going to begin soon.

A few days later clawhammer will ask for an update, and Davo will have this to say:

No news from the complaint I filed, I've called a few times, and they asked me to be patient because the paperwork is the longest process in a Criminal Business Operations Case, and that once they finalize all the drafts the investigation will be underway, and the ball should be rolling a lot faster at that point.

Meanwhile the Department of Fair Trades secretary has no idea what happened to that paper. He doesn't want to get in trouble so he doesn't mention it. Davo is fed bullshit once again, and he believes it.

Then Davo tells his friend that the Dept. of Fair Trades is investigating him, in hopes that he will be scared and return the money, but he will just say "Oh, okay Davo, I'll have your money next week after I get back from Tasmania." Davo will then say, Okay, but if you dont, then I'm telling the Dept of FairTrades to press charges, because I gave you a time limit in writing, and that's all I need. The "mate" will then reply... Oh its a sure thing Davo.


Then the week after that, Davo will come back and say, I've got a CRAZYYY story for you guys!!!................... That fucking asshole still hasn't paid me my money. And johns friend Eric said he saw him at the mall on sunday, so I know he didn't even GO to Tasmania..... Can you believe that, Know I know for SURE that he's lying because I busted him twice!!!

Now I'm really gonna tell the D.O.F.T. all about this. Then he calls the secretary at the D.O.F.T. and tells him all about this. The secretary then tells DAVO that this is great evidence, and to keep any evidence coming, and gives Davo his direct extension while jotting Davos story down on a post it note so he can act like he's got a file on it next time Davo calls. Before he gets off the phone, the secretary will tell Davo that this new information will make the paperwork take longer, but it will provide for a MUCH stronger case. Davo will be disappointed yet excited at the same time.

Davo will come back on AF and tell us that the case is even stronger now because of the new info, and this guy is definitely going down because the DOFT says it's a strong case.

Then after a couple more weeks Davo will call and ask what's the story with the case. The secretary has completely lost all his notes by now and forgotten about Davo. To recover, he puts Davo on hold then re answers in a deeper voice claiming to be the boss, and saying the file was transferred into a different department now that the paperwork is complete. He re assures Davo that he should keep in touch and call back the same number if theres any new info on the case.

Davo is excited once again that the case is making progress. He comes and tells us about it on AF.
