I have been looking at cold air intakes for my '01 Grand Am. I stumbled on to doctorspeed.com cold air intakes. The prices were kinda high; however, i have managed to find them eleswhere for cheaper. Im wondering if there is any diffrence between docorspeed.com and the cheaper intakes?

Essentially not. Though the stage 3 intake does have a one-up over most other intakes - the doc includes a drilled metal section to replace the rubber coupling that holds the IAT sensor and the PCV intake - allowing for smoother air flow. I would personally go with a stage III - IMO probably the best CAI on the market. But "Ebay" intakes and other intakes work essentially the same - there's some differences such as filter type, coupling lengths / bends, but generally it all comes down to price. For the most part, they're generally same in performance. It all comes down to how much you wanna spend.
