I've noticed a high pitched whistling comming from my engine for a while. Is that a normal sound, I thought it was a vacuum leak at first. I inspected all my lines and they seem to be fine. Is it just a normal phenomenon? Just curious.

Well actually its only noticable at idle. Sorry didnt clarify that. Its a dull high pitched sound. Barely noticable. Someone told me it was just the nature of the engine, but he wasnt a reliable source. What i would sell for a turbo. Anyone looking for a bratty sister?

well there is this humming sound that the engine naturally makes, you can hear this especially if you have aftermarket foam filters.

Hey I hear like a whistling noise too some times around 2500 to 3000 rpm this only happends when the weather's a little cold and if i dont let the car warm up for more than 5 minutes it will do it for a while but after the engine warms up it seems to stop,... :bloated:

Same thing with an exhaust. You'll forget about the noise. Here is somthing i figured out, if you let the rpm stay at the area where the whistling is the loudest, and then slowy floor it, the pitch changes dramaticly and sounds like a real turbo.
