I need help and I was wondering if anyone could help me... i have a 2001 accord lx. i recently installed an AEM CAI and like my gas mileage has been horrible. So i read that i should reset my ECU. I resetted it by finding the ECU fuse which is on the left fuse next to the driver side door. I did the usual unplug and replug then idle for about 5 mins. But after i did that my engine check light is always on. Anyone have any suggestions??

wrong fuse.
find fuse that labled CLOCK BACK-UP, it should be on passenger side and if i'm not mistaking it's fuse #13.

Just Unplug your Battery for 5 minutes.

Can someone please tell me why is there is a need to reset the ECU
I am finding that my idle speed when I have the air-cond on and trans in Drive and car stationary is too low - I feel vibrations in the car
would resetting my ECU have any effect...and why should it ?
thanks

Well when you change your Intake from the stock boxxy thing to a short ram or a CAI. It changes the amount of air that is taken into the engine.
The computer has a memory of how much air is going through it, and when you change the amount you have to reset the computer so it can register another amount...
Why?? I don't know...its just the way it is...
