inexperience at my old school led to the leak/oil filter loose. the kid i had change the oil crossed the threads on the oil filter and killed the piece in the block. i replaced that and now no leaks. but now im having consumption issues. im burning more than a quart in 1k. im turbo now just for info. in higher rpms, under boost, oil psi jumps from about 60 to 75-85 and fluctuates. at same time, blowing smoke, which appears to me to be white(coolant), ive been told its black(rich), and black spots on bumper. with that said, being a full service audi tech now, i have much knowlage and ability to fix all of these issues, i just want to know if anyone has had a similar issue and what their fix was. down time in a daily driver sucks!

Has the car been tuned?

an audi tech should of been able to go get a compression and leakdown done if he is burning oil ;)

wouldnt hurt to check blowby and leaks either.

From this post and your previous post I would assume the car is untuned or poorly tuned with an FMU. I am going to guess that you are running either really rich or really lean. My first though would be that you are running really lean and do to the heat your pistons have made contact with the cylinder walls, scoring the piston and distorting the ring lands thus the reason for your oil consumption. Now if you have turned the fuel pressure way up trying to compensate for the boost and are running really rich then you may have washed out the rings creating friction and eliminating the oil control ring and oil will begin to enter the combustion chamber and mix with the fuel. Either way you are not looking good. I cannot stress enough the importance of a good EMS and tune for a turbo Honda. I would expect an Audi tech to know this being as most Audi cars are turbo charged. Just my :2cents:

i have performed both copression and leak down tests. both were well within spec. when you see that and still are consuming oil, that is when the honda specific questions come. audis are extremely different beasts than the hondas, and i was just hoping for some feedback that is just an odd problem that any honda tuner may have come across. guess ill just keep testing until one fails. thanks anyway.
