Couple Questions

Other Info:

No SES light. I have not checked trans fluid yet.

*Note: I am a former 5 speed driver

Transmission:

What would constitute a "hard shift?"

It seems at high RPM's I don't feel the car shifting as much as normal city driving where I don't go above 3K. It doesn't jerk hard or anything when it shifts, I just feel it shift and sometimes I can see on the tachometer when it shifts without feeling it.

Engine (related?)

Now in my 5 min of research, engine issues may cause tranny problems. Now, the engine during random startups has been hesitating to start at ignition for about 2 seconds, then runs like normal.

I figured it was just a stuck injector. However, could it be a misfire?

I will go to my buddy, check my engine codes and get back to you.

Thanks a bunch.

It sounds like a typical 4T65E tranny to me. BTW - Might be a good idea to check your tranny fluid level.

You'll know when there is really an abnormal hard or harsh shift. The car will probably shudder or jerk hard accompanied by a clunking sound either uphifting or downshifting.
