Josh gets a new car

Well, the Buick is falling apart...and getting embarrassing, so i figured it's time to step up and buy a new car. Plans for the Grand National fell through a few months ago. So this is my third prospect, and the one i'm going to get and should have by next week. My friend is selling it so he can move to Mizzou. I didn't want to go back to FWD but this will do for now. It's getting a new clutch at the moment cause he fried his last one...i was there...the smell was rancid...anyway, here it is.

1996 Eclipse GST Spyder

I'm not 100% sure on all the mods, even though i've put most of them on for him, i just did the work for him, but if you're really that interested i'll give him a call on the specifics. He's got intake, cat back, bov, turbo timer, lowered(obviously), and those big ole 18" rims(not sure on the brand). Anyway, this is gonna be my quick car for a few summers. I have a few plans of my own for now. Anyway, here's the car.

Nice DSM. So in these next few summers are you planning on making to put any money into it..or save for something else?

Nice looking cars...I've always liked wheels like that, black on polished...although I prefer deep dish style...me lovey BBS RS-GTs. Nice pick up though, those things can be fast. So hes moving to Mizzou eh? Whats he gonna be driving out there?

I'll put a few thousand in it probably, not much.

Who knows what he'll drive, he's the most random and sporatic person i've ever known, probably some old beater.

looks pretty nice, and I like the rims...but if he burnt the clutch don't you wonder how else he abused the car? are you sure its reliable?

-Josh-
06-07-2005, 06:56 PM
I know how he abused it, the only way he abused was because he's god awful at driving stick. Other than that though he really didn't drive it all that much, probably about 3000 miles tops. I have the complete service history of it from the local Mitsu dealer to, i think it will be reliable enough, it's only setting me back $7K. Anyway, thanks for the replies everyone, even from you civ my little Savage friend.

do an AWD conversion.

The mounting points are identical in the spyder and gsx iirc.

That would make a fun project but i would have to put way more $$ into it than i want to. I suppose if i get stuck with it for some reason i could do that though.
