what the....?

Im getting the m3 style spoiler from wings west for my 94 G, but i need to get it painted and installed...I called the infiniti dealer and they quoted me a price of 400 for paint and install, they said that bec i have pearl white and they have to do a lot of work to install it....is that true? Im thinking that price is outrageous....

i have pearl white too and its true. with a pearl color they have to paint A LOT of the area around the wing so that they can make the paint blend nicely together. they'll probably need to paint the top and rear of your trunk and part of your rear fenders.

i would never get any paint done at the dealer though. just my opinion, and this may not hold true for ever dealership obviously, but in general they do not do good work.

go to a body shop. you may get a better price, but beware if its too low it means they are not going to blend the paint to match, and your wing will not look the same color. You get what you pay for. Whether you pay $50, $100, $300 is up to you.

I have white pearl too, go to a body shop. Around here i went too a few body shops and they charge from $100-200 to install and paint my wing. Do not go to dealer.

hey Andrew, i dont know why the freaking spoiler is taking me so long to get...damn wings west, but should have it by this week.
I can refer you to a bodyshop that will do a good job and wont charge nearly close to what the dealer is charging....btw, most dealers dont have their own bodyshop and that's why they charge a grip is because they take it to another place and still want to make money on top of it.

No problem...its no rush really, just can't wait to see how it'll look on my car......I wanted to get the bottom spoiler and skirts painted at the same time too...so I gotta find a shop thatll do it right :cool:

uhhunnnn....tha'ts not the correct picture of the M3 style wing...the M3 style wing looks like the one on the stock M3s....
wingswest dont have it on their site so they just put that one on...that wing in that picture is their GTR wing...i ordered the M3 style wing for you...:bloated:

Luke that website confused me, do they sell that GTR wing? I didnt see it, I dont know which one will look better than..help! :bloated:

Unfortunately I f*cked up.....Im hoping that Luke may be able to exchange the M3 wing for the GTR wing depending on how it looks......is the wing that I posted too much? does anyone have an opinion?
