New post,
It's not my beauty. My buddy has an 97 "vette". So I'm jealous, mine is a 97 Grand Prix (has it's own problems I assure you). He has a problem with a security issue, I'm sure. First it was a dead battery. Fine... replaced the battery. When we replaced the battery, I noticed a draw on the battery. Could be the hood light, but it seemed like it is more of a draw than that. It acted like the key was on! I'm like where are my safety goggles! Anyway, the beast fires up no problem. Then when you shift into gear, after about 5 seconds it stalls. I asked him to try a different key, same thing. Opened the door with it. Tried disconnecting the battery for a while thinking it would reset itself. Nope! He tells me this has happened before and seems to think it's related to the security features on the car. Checked the fuse block inside the engine compartment, everything seems to be OK. Any help is most appreciated..
Sincerely, Tom
