Sliping TH-125c Automatic Trans

I installed the shift kit from the Fiero Store. I only ran into two things that I wasn't sure about. One was the color of the spring on the first valve under item "A" on the install instructions. This sheet seems to be the same used on all versions of shift kits. At least Kim Pimmels is the same on his website about installing it. And the other was about grinding two flat spots on one of the valve plungers. My valve under item "A" had the double rib on
the plunger, but it was also larger than the diameter listed for the spring color to use for the double rib. I just picked the one to use for the double rib and installed it.
Anyway after puting the valvebody back together, then running the trans for a few days I changed the old trans filter out since it would have caught most of the dirt. Installed new filter and good transfluid.
Now when the trans warms up, there is a definate slip when doing a quick stop and go at like a stop sign. It seems to be more evident when the stop and go includes turning a corner.
Could the issue be that I put the wrong valve spring in? I have been checking my trans fluid level and it looks like it full to the cross hatch on the stick. Have you guys ever run into something like this?

My 92 Regal did that, and it was none other then the vacuum modulator causing the problem. That was a turbo 440, not a 125, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
