My friend bought my old 00 eclipse gt and now he wants to replace the wires because of an underlying problem which we have know has to do with the wiring. Anyway, I changed the sparkplugs on the vehicle myself and remembering the four hour nightmare that it was I wish to not make a repeat of this. So I am curious as to if anyone has any instructions or knows of any site or anything where you can get pretty much step by step instructions for the removal of the intake manifold. I have looked for chiltons and haynes manuals and while I think haynes makes a manual there aren't any autoparts stores in my area that have it and he wants to do this soon. So anyone know of anything?

I took off my plenum without any prior knowledge of how to take it off and it only took me about an hour to take it off and even less time to put it back on. There are about 33 +- a couple bolts that need to be removed. They are all 10mm and 12mm bolts for the most part. The way I did it was put groups of bolts into bags and label them as to where they were on the plenum. You also have to take off like three hoses that attach to plenum but they are self explanatory when you get to them. Just take your time and it will come off with ease. The hardest part is squeezing your hand around the back to take off the three bolts that hold the plenum to the rear supporting brackets and getting the two bolts off of the EGR pipe(just make sure you don't drop the gasket there).

I remember it taking me a while to do it, but my friend doesn't have so much mechanical knowledge as I do, which is why I am trying to get him step by step instructions so he doesn't mess it up.
