My wheel stud on the front right passenger side got messed up by some guy at "ACTION SPORTS" when he put on my TE-37's that my dad bought for me for my GSR. Yesterday I tried getting a rotation on my tires and now they cant get my rims off because a stud is sripped or whatever, the guys said that they have to take the berring or something off, press it and do some other stuff. Can someone tell me how this repairing the wheel stud thing work? or give me a good website that explains it, or maybe an alternative? because Acura is charging me 300$ for labor and parts and I think thats way to expensive. Also, anyone have any recommendations on places that repair wheel studs?

Man, I totally feel you on your situation, except mine is a bit worse. I went in for a tire rotation two weeks ago and the mechanic found out that one of my McGard wheel locks was cracked. So there I was holding onto a half of the lock and the other half was stuck on the stud. After many attempts and about 15 shops later, no one is willing to take off the cracked wheel lock in fear of being liable for other damages if they mess anything else up. I can't blame the guy at the tire shop during the rotation because there was already rust on the lock where it cracked so it had to be from the previous shop that took my rims on and off (they say I dont have proof that they did it). So right now, I'm stuck because no one will even work on my car even if I pay them! I just hope that I don't get a flat or else I'm really screwed. Thank god I'm getting a new car in a couple months.
