92 4.6L Rough Idle Question

My car runs "pretty good" before the engine warms up. Once the engine warms up, if I'm sitting at a stoplight, with the car in gear and foot on the brake... The engine seems to be running really rough, bogged down, almost stalling (more so, on really warm days). On the odd occasion it does stall. I've replaced the plugs and wires in the past 6 months.

I've seen quite a few posts about replacing the IAC Valve, but those people were having slightly different symptoms.

Like I said, it runs "pretty good" when the engine is cold. Could I be looking at the same thing (IAC Valve) ??

Check the PCV valve they clog up a lot. Also check out what gas you are putting in the car. Don't put in the pee water gas. Go with at least 89 or 93. I put in the regular for 2 weeks and the car ran like crap. I than put in the 89 and it was fine. One more thing intake..check for junk maybe change the filter...K+N?

check all vacuum lines for leaks/collapsing, especially on pcv line - rubber hose where hard line connects to intake very prone to deterioration. Also may be IAC sticking or EGR valve sticking

Thanks for the reply's. I've replaced the pcv valve recently and all the hoses seem to be in good condition. I normally have been using 87 octane gas in the car. Next time, I'll up it to at least 89.

I also had my codes pulled and both O2 snsors are apparently not even reading (or dead). He also stated that there was some message that popped up and the mechanic said that the only way I can find out what it is, is to go to the dealership (or something like that).....Figures :(
